2012 spring training

In preparation for the upcoming spring racing season, the boys crew squad is spending a few days of their spring break training in Boston, MA. I had the pleasure of going out in the launch with CRI coach Marko Vukovic as two eights practiced on an unseasonably warm March day.

Boys captain Isaiah Brown ’12 said the squad is “excited for the season. We have a bunch of strong guys who are hungry. Only having three days on the water so far it is hard to tell exactly where we are headed, but we have high hopes.” The squad is also looking forward to working with new boys coach Albert Leger who has “brought a lot of positive energy” to the team. The boys squad returns to Exeter next week, where the Squamscott River is already ice-free.
